Tadeusz Michał Siara (1941)

He graduated in 1969 from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, Faculty of Graphic Arts in Katowice. From 1993 to 2000 he lectured at his alma mater. In 1972 and 2003 he received scholarships from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, and in 1975 a scholarship from the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. In 2007 he was awarded the Gloria Artis Medal for Merit to Culture by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.

He works exclusively in printmaking, primarily etching. He creates graphic series such as The Seasons, Observatories, In the Tower of Babel, and continues the series Letters Written with the Left Hand, reflecting his travel observations and fascinations.

Since 1969 he has exhibited in Poland and abroad, participating in numerous group exhibitions of Polish art internationally. He has taken part in many international print biennials and triennials, receiving numerous awards and distinctions, including the Gold Medal at the 12th Salon Paris-Sud in Juvisy-sur-Orge, France. His works are held in museum, public and private collections in Poland and internationally.

He participated in International Print Biennials and Triennials (1974–2004) in Florence, Menton, Bradford, Frechen, Ljubljana, Sapporo, Maastricht and Kraków.
