Blackbirds

Print made with reversed etching technique on paper.

The artwork Blackbirds is an alternative version of the Bluebirds print, created using the same matrix. The difference lies in the inversion of the color tones. While the traditional version features a distinct, dark drawing on a light background, the reverse etching technique employs an inverse inking process. The ink was applied to the raised elements of the plate, resulting in a black background and a drawing composed of light lines after printing.

The dimensions of the sheet of paper are 50 x 50 cm.
