His work is distinguished by the consistent development of a figurative language that places the complexity of human relationships at its core. It is personal and emotional art, rooted in the observation of another person. Kasprzak combines various techniques \u2013 oil and acrylic painting, gouache, drawing, and collage \u2013 to create multi-layered, dynamic compositions. His style is marked by strong color contrasts, expressive line, and the dramaturgy of figures. His paintings become a kind of \u201cgarden\u201d of human stories \u2013 filled with tension, encounters, and emotions.<\/p>\n<p>Andrzej Kasprzak (1963) &#8211; graphic artist, painter and sculptor. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krak\u00f3w (Faculty of Graphic Arts in Katowice), receiving his diploma with the Rector\u2019s Medal in 1988.\u00a0He has been awarded numerous scholarships, including from the Silesian-D\u0105browa Committee for Independent Culture (1988), the Ministry of Culture and Art (1989, 1999), the Pollock-Krasner Foundation in New York (1994), and the Frans Masereel International Centre for Graphics in Belgium (1994\u20131997).\u00a0Kasprzak has participated in more than 120 group exhibitions and held around 100 solo exhibitions in Poland and abroad \u2014 in Germany, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, France, Austria, and the USA. He is a laureate of international and national prizes and distinctions, including competitions in France, Canada, Latvia, Spain, and Poland \u2014 among them the Polish-Finnish Marine Art Competition (Gda\u0144sk 1987), the Polish-French Poster Competition (Valenciennes 1988), the World Triennial of Graphic Art (Latvia, France, Spain), as well as numerous national biennials and reviews of printmaking.\u00a0His works are held in many museum, public, and private collections in Poland and abroad, including the National Museum in Gda\u0144sk, the Silesian Museum in Katowice, Del Bello Gallery in Toronto, IGCP Gallery in Philadelphia, the Polish Museum of America in Chicago, Tama Art University in Tokyo, the Memory Art Collection in Brussels, the National Museum in Antwerp, and the Gutenberg Museum in Mainz.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1676\" data-end=\"1709\">He lives and works in Katowice.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1676\" data-end=\"1709\">The exhibition will be open to visitors from October 3 to 18.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1676\" data-end=\"1709\">See you in the gallery!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":true},"class_list":["post-34702","wystawy","type-wystawy","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/galeriam.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/wystawy\/34702","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/galeriam.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/wystawy"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/galeriam.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/wystawy"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/galeriam.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=34702"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
