Katarzyna Krej’s first solo exhibition of artistic glass at Galeria M. Presented will be glass objects and sculptures belonging to the cycles “Millstone Collars”, “Cosmic Energy” and “Flow”. The artist admits that the process of creating them is intricate and time-consuming, similar to lace weaving. She heats thick rods of glass and, when they become liquid, forms thin threads from which she ‘weaves’ unusual shapes and forms, which then enter into a dialogue with space. When encountered, the artworks invite tranquillity and reflection on beauty, fragility, and transience.
The opening and meeting with the artist will take place on Friday, October 20th at 7pm.
The exhibition will be open from 20-31.10.2023
