The Mother Earth cycle is the artist’s most recent series, engaging with the concepts of communality and coexistence among different organisms. The protagonists of the drawings are typically female figures transforming into plants or animals, and conversely—forming a harmonious, idyllic world open to every form of being and life. The artist’s enduring sources of inspiration include myths, fairy tales, and folk legends—spaces where the real intertwines with the extraordinary—as well as Japanese aesthetics, philosophy, and culture.
