We would like to invite you to the exhibition titled LET’S GO! in Galerie Pokusa in Wiesbaden, Germany, where paintings by two students of the Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław: Katarzyna Frankowska & Katarzyna Wiesiołek are to be presented.
The young artists are both laureates of last year’s edition of painting competition ATTITUDES, organised by the academy, and, as the main prize, they had the exhibition of their works, called ATTITUDES 2013, in Galeria M.
Katarzyna Frankowska (1988) – born in Złocieniec, graduate of the Secondary School of Arts in Szczecin, at present, painting student of the 5th year at The Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław, in the studio of professor Stanisław Kortyka. Scholar of the President of the City of Szczecin (2007), laureate of the honourable distincion in the Franciszka Eibisch Foundation painting competition (2013) and Grand Prix of the first edition of the ATTITUDES painting competition organised by the Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław.
Katarzyna Wiesiołek (1990) – born in Nowogard, graduate of the Secondary School of Arts in Szczecin, since 2010 painting student at The Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław, at present, in the studio of professor Stanisław Kortyka. Scholar of the President of the City of Szczecin (2009, 2010), of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage (2010), of the City of Wrocław (2013) and of the Rector of the Academy of Art and Design (2013). Had several individual exhibitions, took part in competitions and group shows: 8th International Biennial of Drawing Pilsen 2012, 5th International Drawing Competition in Wrocław (2012) or 9th Small Form Painting Triennial in Gallery Wozownia, in Toruń (2012).
The opening of LET’S GO! exhibition is on Friday, 21st of March.
