Forest

Artist’s note: This painting was made out of love for the forest, inspired by countless walks with my dogs through nearby green areas. I enjoy looking at decaying trunks, fallen branches, and emerging trees — this entire living world. The work is a landscape in essence and carries a sense of calm. It has a slightly drawing-like quality; I previously worked with gouache illustrations, and here I experiment with thick, painterly layers.
