How come Magda’s kids are so dumb?

Artist’s note: Magda is my mother. This painting is a self-portrait of mine, reimagined as three snail figures. The composition was inspired by a garden sculpture I could see from my studio window during a residency in Krzyżowa. The work is both bittersweet and self-reflective.
